Have You Heard About The "Inner
Healer"?
Have you ever accidentally cut yourself? Remember how the cut
healed on its own? When it happened you probably performed a little
first aid. But, after that, your body took over and immediately
began marshalling forces to heal the wound. You didn't have to take
any classes in healing or practice how to heal. Your body already
knew how to heal. If you catch a cold, don't you eventually get
better? As with a cut, your body eventually heals from the cold
virus . . . on its own. You could say that the ever elusive "cure
for the common cold" already exists within your body.
You have within you an Inner Healer that constantly monitors your
well-being. Your Inner Healer knows what to do and how to do
it when it comes to keeping you healthy. In chiropractic we call
this inner knowing Innate Intelligence. If something foreign
such as a virus, bacteria or a piece of glass gets inside, your body
calls into action an army of germ fighting cells and intricate
chemistry designed to rid your body of the invader. If for some
reason your body fails to adequately attack the invader, then you
become "sick". A virus, bacteria or some other foreign object didn't
cause the illness. Your body's inability to fend off the invader
caused the illness. Your Inner Healer wasn't able to do the job.
So, how can we help our Inner Healer stay on top of things? By
maintaining a healthy nervous system. Your body's Innate
Intelligence uses the nervous system to guide, control and monitor
all the other systems of the body. When the nervous system is
interfered with your body's Innate Intelligence is not able to fully
express itself. This sets the stage for disease and illness. The
vertebral subluxation complex is the primary cause of nervous system
interference. The vertebral subluxation complex results when
bones of the spine become misaligned resulting in pinched or
irritated nerves. This has extremely negative affects on your
posture, your ability to move, your organ function and your body's
ability to handle day to day stress. Chiropractic adjustments can
correct the vertebral subluxation complex. The adjustment removes
nervous system interference and allows the body's innate wisdom to
function as it should again. Your Inner Healer is able to go back to
work.
Your body faces health challenges every day of your life. Despite
toxins in the environment, flu epidemics, injuries and many other
ravages, we can remain vibrantly healthy. All it takes is your Inner
Healer doing its day to day work. Come in, get your spine checked
for the vertebral subluxation complex, then stand back and marvel as
your Inner Healer keeps you at your best! |
