Spinal Weakness Can Cause Many Problems
Cause of Fatigue and Poor Health
One of the functions of the human spinal column is to hold the body
upright; in fact every part of the body is directly or indirectly
supported by the bones making up the spine.
When the spine is weak, this is reflected in the carriage of the
body. The shoulders are humped over, the lower abdomen sticks
out, and the chest is unnaturally sunken. All in all, the
appearance is that of a person too weak to hold himself up properly.
An individual with this spinal weakness
usually complains of general weakness and lack of endurance and in
addition he may have a specific complaint of the lower back being
weak.
Importance of Spine
The extreme importance of the spine
lies in the fact that inside of the bones of the spinal column lies
the spinal cord which connects the brain with other parts of the
body. Between adjacent vertebrae, there emerges a pair of
nerves, arising from the spinal cord and carrying nerve impulses to
and from the various organs, muscles and tissues. When a part
of the spine is affected by weakness, there may be a slipping of one
or more of these vertebras. The slipping induces pressure on
the nerves and the pressure in turn interferes with the normal
healthily functioning of whatever organs those particular nerves
serve.
Adjustments Bring
Improvement
Sometimes these abnormalities of
positions are so sight that they are not found unless the patient is
examined by Dr. Bartell, who is specially trained to discover them.
Adjustment which restores the vertebrae to their normal relationship
will be followed by almost immediate improvement. Regular
chiropractic checkups can keep you feeling great! |
